Aderia Eto Fuku Frosted Sake Cup Collection
The Aderia Eto Fuku Frosted Sake Cup Collection brings together Japan’s appreciation for seasonal beauty, good-luck symbols, and refined everyday glassware. Made in Japan by Aderia, each cup features a soft frosted texture with delicate decorative motifs inspired by the Japanese zodiac and traditional symbols of fortune.
The glass has a gentle snow-like finish that diffuses light beautifully, giving each cup a cool, translucent appearance. When filled with sake, cold tea, or small servings of dessert, the design becomes softly layered through the glass, creating a light and festive table setting without feeling overly decorative.
The collection includes the twelve zodiac animals, known in Japanese as Eto, with each glass connected to one animal from the traditional Jūnishi cycle. Each cup features its animal design on the side and its matching zodiac mark on the bottom, creating a hidden personal detail that gives the glass deeper meaning. Nezumi represents the Rat and is marked with 子, Ushi represents the Ox and is marked with 丑, Tora represents the Tiger and is marked with 寅, Usagi represents the Rabbit and is marked with 卯, Tatsu represents the Dragon and is marked with 辰, Hebi represents the Snake and is marked with 巳, Uma represents the Horse and is marked with 午, Hitsuji represents the Sheep and is marked with 未, Saru represents the Monkey and is marked with 申, Tori represents the Rooster and is marked with 酉, Inu represents the Dog and is marked with 戌, and Inoshishi represents the Boar and is marked with 亥. This allows customers to choose a cup based on their own birth-year animal, select one for someone meaningful, or collect the full twelve-piece Eto set as a complete celebration of the Japanese zodiac.
In addition to the twelve zodiac designs, the collection also includes four classic good-fortune motifs: Mount Fuji, Maneki-neko, Daruma, and Koi. Each carries its own cultural meaning, from prosperity and perseverance to celebration and success. These designs may be purchased individually or as a coordinated set of four.
Compact and comfortable to hold, each cup is suitable for sake, cold sake, shochu, small desserts, appetizers, or decorative table styling. Presented in its original gift box, the collection makes a thoughtful choice for birthdays, New Year celebrations, housewarming gifts, or anyone who enjoys Japanese glassware with symbolic meaning.
